A Big Shout Out to River Walk’s Industrious Greenagers

Great things are being accomplished in July at River Walk by local youth employed on a Greenagers Trail Crew. The crew is undertaking two major projects–the rebuilding of a key retaining wall and the repainting of trail railing upstream.

The trail crew is also supporting River Walk’s Greenagers interns who are providing leadership for these large projects. As always, education is a key component of these collaborations. Our interns teach crew members about the history and features of River Walk and share their own plant, insect, and bird insights as they work within this carefully rehabilitated area along the Housatonic Riverbank.
