Wednesday, April 21 – Wednesday May 5, 2021.
Visitors will find a temporary self-guided tree walk in our upstream section and arboretum tree signs to help you identify the trees in our downstream section.
Spring, Summer, or Fall, Housatonic River Walk is always there for you!
April 22, 2021Come enjoy the trail! The river is running high and spring is just beginning to emerge.
Instead of our traditional Earth Day community workday, local Boy Scouts have volunteered to assist our Greenagers Interns to do the work needed to open the trail.

Hey, I’m Max Whalen, the new River Walk Apprentice! I grew up in Pittsfield, MA where I graduated from Pittsfield High in 2018. After PHS I went to Berkshire Community College for a year and then moved on to Westfield State University where I studied environmental science. Because of Covid -19 I chose to take a gap year from school, which opened many new doors for me.
